He started by JACKing up the ‘80s, now Alex Carr will have you laughing, crying, laugh-crying and cry-laughing every Monday to Friday from 11-2.

To help you get to know Alex better, we asked him five questions to see how well he knew himself. Turns out, Alex knows Alex.

  1. What is your most used emoji?

Clap hands and fire are tied. I like to be supportive online.

  1. If you were a wrestler what would be your entrance theme song?

Great question. I’ve created a wrestling persona called Big Rig. He’s a long-haul trucker that gets the audience on his side by mentioning the local highway “I just drove in on the Deerfoot” (applause). It would just be the sound of a truck.

  1. If you could go back in time, what year would you travel to?

The 80s seems great. Bright colours, wild parties. Booking stock market. Everyone driving Beemers. A group of kids being stuck in detention and learning they all have their own issues and aren’t that different. It seems great.

  1. What’s your favorite holiday?

Halloween. Not really a holiday but it is fun and there is no pressure to buy things. Also Halloween parties bring the silly out of people and I love that.

  1. If you were famous, what would you be famous for?

My speed. I’m really fast. In a high school football game I punted a football and recovered it myself. I’m already Halifax famous for that.
