ZZ Top’s Dusty Hill Collection Auctions For More Than $3 Million

Julien’s Auction of The Collection Of Dusty Hill Of ZZ Top, netted more than $3 million.
The auction made history with his signature 1953 Fender Precision Bass Guitar, his most played instrument, as it sold for $393,700. The price was second only to Paul McCartney’s Yamaha BB-1200, which sold for $496,100, 2 years ago.
Other items of the late Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member included… his fur bass guitar, played on ZZ Top’s iconic “Legs” music video, it went for $317,500. And a custom sky-blue wool suit jacket with yellow and red embroidered flowers worn on the cover of the Fandango album, sold for $11,430.
