Day 5 of Rio 2016 was a fun one with Canada’s swim team earning plenty of praise, and that trend could continue on Day 6.

Here are some notable events and Canadians to keep an eye on Thursday.

Swimming
50m freestyle (men), heats: 12:02 p.m. | semis: 9:03 p.m.
800m freestyle (women), heats: 12:26 p.m.
100m butterfly (men), heats: 1:16 p.m. | semis: 10:34 p.m.
200m backstroke (women), heats: 1:36 p.m. | semis: 9:35 p.m.
200m breaststroke (women), final: 9:17 p.m.
100m freestyle (women), final: 10:18 p.m.

Oleksiak has a chance to win her fourth medal of the Games when she competes in the women’s 100-metre freestyle final. The 16-year-old set a Canadian record with a time of 52.72 seconds in the semifinals.

Kierra Smith has a chance at a medal in the women’s 200-metre breaststroke. Hilary Caldwell and Dominique Bouchard look to make a mark in the women’s 200-metre backstroke. Brittany MacLean puts her cardio to the test in the 800-metre freestyle heats.

Santo Condorelli barely missed out on a medal Wednesday in the men’s 100-metre freestyle, but he has a chance to qualify in the 50-metre freestyle and 100-metre butterfly. Yuri Kisil will join Condorelli in the freestyle races.

Tennis

Vasek Pospisil and Daniel Nestor made quick work of Italy’s Fabio Fognini and Andreas Seppi Tuesday but they’ve got a more difficult challenge ahead of them in Thursday’s men’s doubles semifinal. They face Spain’s Rafael Nadal and Marc Lopez with a trip to the gold medal match on the line. This match was supposed to take place Wednesday but was postponed due to weather.

Golf
6:30 a.m.

Graham DeLaet and David Hearn hit the greens as golf returns to the summer Olympics. Technically Canada is the defending champion of Olympic golf. The last time golf was included at the Games was in 1904 when George Lyon won gold.

Gymnastics
3:00 p.m.

The women’s individual all-around gymnastics final goes down with a pair of Canadians in the field. Ellie Black and Isabela Onyshko will try to remain in the hunt while the world watches three-time world champion Simone Biles.

Allison Beveridge, Jasmin Glaesser, Kirsti Lay and Georgia Simmerling ride in the women’s team pursuit cycling qualifying race (3:19 p.m.). Light welterweight boxer Arthur Biyarslanov steps in the ring for his first fight against Jordan’s Obada Alkasbeh (10:45 a.m.). The men’s volleyball team aims to rebound from a loss to Brazil as they take on France (4:05 p.m.), while the men’s field hockey team seeks their first win when they face Ireland (10:00 a.m.).
